As a Sales Engineer, you will play a central technical role in guiding prospective clients through the evaluation and decision-making stages of the sales cycle. Working closely with Account Executives, you will translate complex financial data workflows into clear, compelling demonstrations that reflect each client’s unique operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical authority during sales engagements, providing clarity on platform capabilities and integration possibilities
- Design and deliver customized demo environments by ingesting and modeling client data to reflect real-world use cases
- Lead proof of concept initiatives, ensuring technical validation aligns with business objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Product, Data, and Professional Services—to align client expectations with deliverable solutions
- Support the development of Statements of Work and contribute to responses for RFPs and RFIs
- Advise on technical onboarding paths and identify opportunities for expanded product use among existing clients
- Develop reusable sales tools and training materials to strengthen technical fluency across the sales organization
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in financial technology, SaaS, or technical client-facing roles within financial services
- Background in investment management, data platforms, or software architecture
- Familiarity with API integrations, database structures, and data lakehouse environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives and technical stakeholders alike
- Proven project coordination skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent opportunities
- Degree-holding candidates preferred; ability to travel up to 20% of the time
