Shape the U.S. Market Entry for a Growing Snack Brand
This role leads the sales strategy for a premium crunchy corn snack launching in the food service channel. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing a go-to-market plan across key segments including education, healthcare, hospitality, corporate dining, travel, and vending. With full ownership of the sales cycle, you’ll identify opportunities, build partnerships, and drive adoption from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable sales strategy tailored to the away-from-home food service landscape
- Secure partnerships with national and regional operators such as Compass, Sodexo, and Aramark
- Lead negotiations and onboarding with major distributors and brokers, including Vistar, UNFI, Sysco, and US Foods
- Manage and optimize broker performance to ensure alignment with business goals
- Present new products and lead sampling initiatives to drive trial and placement
- Represent the brand at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events
- Lead RFP responses, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to develop channel-specific promotions, pricing models, and packaging formats
- Provide strategic input on product development based on operator and distributor feedback
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and track progress against targets
Qualifications
Applicants should have 3–7 years of sales experience in CPG food service, ideally within snacks or better-for-you categories. Deep familiarity with food service distributors, brokers, GPOs, and operators is essential. You must be self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable building a sales strategy from scratch.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are required. The role involves 30–50% travel to meet clients and attend events. Prior relationships with national distributors or operators like Compass or Aramark are a significant advantage.
