Valvoline Global Operations is hiring a Sales Account Manager to drive growth and market share within an assigned region. You will be responsible for increasing distribution and portfolio penetration by managing distributor relationships, executing national strategy, and developing key customer and distributor partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Meet sales, profit, and accounts receivable targets, deploying actions and leading teams as needed.
- Own the distributor relationship: develop and lead execution of the annual business plan, contracting, and performance reviews.
- Lead local marketing execution, including pricing intelligence, promotion planning, competitor benchmarking, and activation of Valvoline programs.
- Train and develop distributor sales representatives, managers, customers, and interact directly with key accounts and mechanics.
- Prospect and onboard new distributors within the assigned region as needed.
- Lead and coordinate internal cross-functional teams (supply, customer service, marketing, technical, legal) to ensure a superior customer experience.
- Handle internal reporting, self-training, and administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in distributor sales within the automotive after-market industry.
- Previous experience working in a multinational company.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with automotive markets and applications.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Customer focus, results orientation, business development skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong negotiation skills, self-confidence, flexibility, and a sense of urgency.
- Analytical skills, organizational agility, critical thinking, drive, and persistence.
- High tolerance to frustration, interpersonal effectiveness, and basic financial skills.
- High effectiveness in Microsoft Office and powerful presentation and communication skills.

- Lubricants experience is preferred.
