The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is looking for a Rock Creek Youth Crew member. In partnership with the National Park Service, this program provides hands-on training and workforce development in conservation. You will complete key projects across various sections of Rock Creek Park.
What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively with team members, completing outdoor hands-on projects
- Learn new skills in trail building, invasive plant removal, tool use, and community engagement
- Participate in environmental education learning activities
- Complete feedback surveys
- Participate in professional development sessions like career panels, SMART Goal planning, and Leave No Trace training
What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform manual, physical labor for up to 8 hours per day, exposed to the elements
- Must be a minimum of 15 years of age, currently enrolled in high school or graduating senior, and able to attain a minor work permit
- Must have the ability to legally work in the US
- Must be able to complete SCA online onboarding new hire paperwork in a timely manner
