About the Role
This position involves traveling to customer sites to deploy, service, and repair robotic automation systems, providing technical expertise to ensure equipment functions safely and efficiently in manufacturing settings.
Responsibilities
- Install robotic automation cells at customer facilities according to technical specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on robotic systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and robotic arms for optimal performance
- Collaborate with customers to understand operational requirements
- Document service activities and repair histories accurately
- Respond to emergency service calls during and outside business hours
- Verify safety compliance of robotic installations
- Train operators and maintenance staff on system usage
- Support integration of new robotic cells into existing production lines
- Troubleshoot network and communication issues affecting robot performance
- Update firmware and control software as needed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools for field service
- Follow detailed technical manuals and engineering drawings
- Ensure all work meets quality assurance standards
- Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams
- Adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety protocols
- Provide feedback on field performance to product development teams
- Work with minimal supervision in diverse industrial environments
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with client personnel
