Peet's Coffee (Caribou Coffee) is hiring a Roasting Technician to produce the industry's finest coffee through the development of expert roasting and packaging skills. You will process coffee according to the production schedule as part of a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do

Ensure your assigned workstation operates within all workplace and food safety standards.
Complete all Quality Control Point monitoring tasks to ensure product quality.
Submit all required production records for your workstation.
Work cooperatively to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality.
Increase productivity and efficiency without compromising safety or product integrity.
Communicate production, quality, or safety issues to the Roastery Team Lead, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager.
Report equipment faults directly to the Engineering Department.
Assign, train, and monitor daily performance for Production Team Members at your workstation.
Assign, train, and monitor daily performance for Temporary Workers at your workstation.
Maintain established standards of cleanliness and sanitation for your workstation and the facility.
Participate in workstation development opportunities to strengthen your technical and craft skills.
Demonstrate a full understanding of Food Safety programs, including GMPs and SSOPs.
Demonstrate a full understanding of all Workplace Safety policies and Standard Work Procedures.
Participate in training new Team Members.
Demonstrate full knowledge to operate one or two Packaging Lines, Roasting machines, or Grinding machines.
Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or in operations leadership.

Nice to Have

At least 1 year of formal training in the coffee industry.
A passion for coffee.

Team & Environment

You will report to a Roastery Team Lead, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager and collaborate closely with the production team.
