The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is hiring a RN Organ Allocation Coordinator to play a critical role in supporting solid organ transplantation through clinical expertise, coordination, and regulatory compliance. You will apply your nursing skills in a remote capacity to evaluate donor organ offers, collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant teams, and facilitate safe, timely organ allocation for adult and pediatric populations.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate donor organ offers and coordinate allocation processes in collaboration with transplant teams
- Facilitate communication across multidisciplinary teams to support timely transplantation
- Provide remote coordination for adult and pediatric transplant recipients
- Maintain compliance with OPTN/UNOS and CMS regulatory requirements
- Participate in onboarding, training, and mentorship of new staff
- Stay current with regulatory updates, allocation policies, and best practices in transplantation
- Support MUSC Transplant’s commitment to safe, evidence-based care and optimal patient outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Three years’ experience as a registered nurse
- Current South Carolina licensure or compact state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
Nice to Have
- Transplant nursing experience
- Experience with Epic Phoenix or similar transplant information systems
- Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC)

This position reports to the Transplant Program Manager.
Work Mode
This role offers a hybrid work mode, with locations including remote and Charleston, SC.
