About the Role

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a team member or leader conducting on-site surveys of healthcare facilities nationwide to ensure compliance with Federal Medicare-Medicaid regulations. This is a 100% remote position with significant travel requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a team member or team leader on various survey types including recertification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits for long-term and non-long-term care facilities.
  • Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
  • Perform survey preparations including off-site analysis, facility tours, care observation, record reviews, and interviews with staff and families.
  • Determine if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements.
  • Evaluate multiple aspects of healthcare facility systems from quality of care to consumers’ rights and physical plant safety.
  • Communicate non-compliance issues with facility personnel throughout the review process and during exit conferences.
  • Review and determine acceptability of corrective action plans submitted by facilities.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify implementation of corrective plans.
  • Assist with facility and bureau training programs and participate in work groups as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing score on the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities.
  • Current, unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
  • Ability to independently and collectively set priorities when performing survey tasks.
  • Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek appropriate assistance to resolve them.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.

Work Mode

This is a 100% remote position with up to 75% travel required for on-site facility surveys nationwide.
