Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a team member or leader conducting on-site surveys of healthcare facilities nationwide to ensure compliance with Federal Medicare-Medicaid regulations. This is a 100% remote position with significant travel requirements.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a team member or team leader on various survey types including recertification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits for long-term and non-long-term care facilities.
- Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
- Perform survey preparations including off-site analysis, facility tours, care observation, record reviews, and interviews with staff and families.
- Determine if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements.
- Evaluate multiple aspects of healthcare facility systems from quality of care to consumers’ rights and physical plant safety.
- Communicate non-compliance issues with facility personnel throughout the review process and during exit conferences.
- Review and determine acceptability of corrective action plans submitted by facilities.
- Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify implementation of corrective plans.
- Assist with facility and bureau training programs and participate in work groups as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing score on the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
- At least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities.
- Current, unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
- Ability to independently and collectively set priorities when performing survey tasks.
- Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek appropriate assistance to resolve them.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.
