D2M Services is hiring an HVAC Engineer (H/F) to develop innovative heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions for commercial and residential projects, with a primary focus on cruise ship design and building. You will be instrumental in advancing our project portfolio through technical leadership and rigorous engineering processes.
What You'll Do
- Establish studies and make recommendations for equipment and design solutions for the company’s project portfolio.
- Coordinate and update guidelines for related HVAC technology.
- Participate in risk assessment and feasibility studies.
- Apply relevant rules and regulations, including SOLAS and IMO standards, in the development of cruise ship HVAC design.
- Organize and report on design and development processes for HVAC and related technologies.
- Develop optimized life cycle costs (LCC) procedures.
- Participate in inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and quay and sea trial procedures as part of the inspection team.
- Participate in new build drawing reviews, including makers and design approval processes.
- Prepare vessel specifications for new build projects and update them based on internal and external partner discussions.
- Ensure innovations and lessons learned from the existing fleet are implemented in future projects.
What We're Looking For
- Adequate education, such as an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, and equipment for design and production.
- In-depth knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- High-level communication and strong relationship-building skills with suppliers, partners, and remote colleagues.
- Independent, self-oriented skills to lead simultaneous projects.
- Strong team and network leadership skills.
- Relevant computer skills.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel.
