About the Role

At Ambu, we are looking for a Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our Global Risk & Compliance department. In this role, you will support the Head of Global Risk & Compliance in developing, implementing, and maintaining our Compliance Management System and Programs. Acting as the focal point for Malaysia, you will drive risk management, business ethics, and compliance activities across our local operations.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in providing reports to Ambu’s Executive Management and Board of Directors.
  • Support Malaysia management teams in risk management, business continuity, integrity, and business ethics & compliance.
  • Serve as chair of relevant Local Compliance Committees, scheduling meetings and developing agendas.
  • Work with local management to ensure all risk areas are properly mitigated and resources match risk levels.
  • Analyze existing and new compliance risk areas and trends.
  • Conduct compliance country reviews and develop mitigation plans.
  • Be a trusted advisor and business partner to the business.
  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate written policies and procedures for compliance risks.
  • Develop, coordinate, and document Ambu’s annual and targeted compliance-related educational and training programs.
  • Assist, respond to, and investigate alleged violations of laws, regulations, and company policies, conducting root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Identify, propose, and implement appropriate technology and compliance assurance systems.
  • Contribute to global compliance projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee national compliance programs, ensuring collaboration with local management and compliance representatives.
  • Promote risk management, integrity, ethical behavior, and compliance within Ambu and among business partners.
  • Support quarterly risk reporting and ongoing business continuity planning at the local level.
  • Promote the use of Ambu’s Speak Up – Integrity Line.
  • Support the legal team in maintaining compliance with anti-trust/competition and Data Privacy laws.
  • Identify, mitigate, and control risks related to third parties.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Code of Conduct, global compliance policies, anti-bribery/anti-corruption law, transparency regulations, regional/local industry standards, and compliance best practices.
  • Conduct ongoing internal and external monitoring and/or auditing to assess adherence to Compliance Policies and Procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, internal controls, or a related governance function.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing or supporting Compliance Management Systems, Risk Assessments, and Business Ethics Programs.
  • Experience conducting compliance investigations, audits, or reviews, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within a multinational company or regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or manufacturing.

Team & Environment

You will be a key member of the Global Risk & Compliance department, reporting directly to the Head of Global Risk & Compliance.

This is a local-country role based in Malaysia.
