UCB is looking for a Rheumatology Clinical Account Specialist to reinforce the clinical value of our products and create the best experiences for patients living with severe immunologic diseases. In this role, you will drive demand by building relationships with clinical decision makers and office staff within an assigned territory in the home care setting.
What You'll Do
- Attain sales goals and objectives by product volume and key accountabilities like reach and frequency with stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of the patient journey of care, including the unique needs of patients within the at-home care setting.
- Establish professional working relationships with healthcare providers and support staff within a prioritized call plan.
- Communicate clinical information on assigned products and relevant patient support services to offer an outstanding patient experience.
- Establish an understanding of local ecosystems, including the payer environment and pharmacy benefits, navigating the complexities of local care delivery.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive marketplace and drivers of prescriber decisions.
- Apply UCB Patient Value Strategy principles by establishing collaborative relationships and integrating with local UCB ecosystem business partners.
- Know when and how to bring in the right expertise from other UCB matrix roles based on customer need.
- Conduct account activities such as profiling, call planning, and reviewing sales data related to at-home administration.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
- 3+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry.
- A valid US Driver’s License with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 2 years.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling injectable products.
- Experience in calling on Rheumatologists.
- Discussing therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers.
- Developing and applying clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills.
- Executing marketing strategies at the local level.
- Demonstrated understanding of the managed care landscape and how it influences business.
Team & Environment
You will work in a matrix environment encompassing Field Reimbursement Managers, Immunology Clinical Account Specialists, Partnership Leads, Regional and National Account Executives, and Medical Science Liaisons.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $132,000-$174,000.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position. The territory covers Upstate New York from Buffalo to Albany, and teams work with a hybrid-first approach, gathering in local hubs to foster collaboration.
