University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Revenue Cycle Representative to join our Patient Access Management Division, specifically supporting the Medical Center on the University Campus (MCU) Emergency Department team. This is an entry-level customer service position where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service in a high-volume phone and web-based environment, upholding our Service Excellence standards.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and verify patient demographic and insurance information for accurate claim submission.
- Communicate with providers, payers, patients, and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Go to inpatient floors to complete registrations using workstations on wheels (WOW).
- Work with the court system to provide time-sensitive documents and ensure compliance.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy to meet productivity and quality requirements.
- Identify trends and work processes for potential improvements.
- Review report data to provide status updates to leadership.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of payer regulations, financial classifications, and assistance programs.
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with interdepartmental and clinical staff, insurance companies, and the public.
- Assist other Patient Access Management areas with departmental needs and cross coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits & Compensation
- An additional 5% added to base salary for high volume.
- A $2,970 weekend differential applicable while in this role.

This is an onsite position located at the Medical Center on the University Campus (MCU), 200 Hawkins Drive, Iowa City, IA.
