This role is responsible for turning large, complex datasets into meaningful insights that guide business strategy in the retail mortgage space. The analyst will design, build, and maintain automated reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI and SQL, enabling stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage recurring metrics, reports, and dashboards to support business performance tracking and decision-making
- Build advanced Power BI visualizations using complex DAX expressions and integrated data from multiple sources
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data across systems
- Identify and resolve data quality issues through systematic analysis and cleansing techniques
- Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment, adapting to shifting priorities and ambiguous situations
- Support data needs across departments, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
Qualifications
Candidates must have direct experience in the retail mortgage industry and a solid understanding of the mortgage lifecycle. Strong technical skills in SQL and Power BI are essential, along with proficiency in data modeling and visualization best practices. Familiarity with Power Automate and Snowflake is a plus. A background in business, statistics, computer science, or a related analytical field is preferred.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid position. Employees located within 31 miles of Santa Ana, CA or Austin, TX are required to work on-site four days per week. Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position starts at $90,000, depending on experience. Actual pay may vary based on location, skill level, and qualifications.
