Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar updates
- Greet patients and guide them through check-in procedures
- Verify patient insurance and update demographic information
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Assist clinical staff with preparation for patient visits
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Distribute patient education materials
- Support medication reconciliation processes
- Process prescription requests and manage refills
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and data security
- Order and restock office and medical supplies
- Assist with patient outreach for preventive care reminders
- Track patient no-shows and reschedule appointments
- Support quality improvement initiatives through data entry
- Participate in team huddles and care coordination meetings
- Escalate patient concerns to appropriate staff members
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with processing lab and imaging orders
- Support patient registration during onboarding
- Help coordinate transportation needs for eligible patients
- Assist with prior authorization documentation
- Monitor patient wait times and manage flow efficiently
- Support telehealth visit coordination
- Ensure all forms are completed and filed correctly
