About the Role

Penn State is hiring a Residence Life Coordinator, a live-in professional responsible for the daily operations and community development in residence halls housing up to 400 students. This role is central to fostering a supportive residential environment.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise a staff of up to 10 Resident Assistants, including conducting regular individual and group meetings and evaluating performance.
  • Advise student groups and individual students on academic, career, and personal concerns.
  • Interpret and enforce University and residence hall policies and procedures.
  • Mediate conflicts between and among students and handle requests for room changes and contract releases.
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating residence education programs.
  • Assist in promoting the safety and security of area residents.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and social justice issues.
  • Plan and implement programs with Resident Assistants and students.
  • Participate in committees and task force groups.
  • Assist in recruitment and training of professional staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's Degree (for Intermediate Professional level) or Bachelor's Degree (for Professional level).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Team & Environment

This role supervises up to 10 Resident Assistants and reports directly to an Assistant Director.

  • Salary range: $42,100.00 - $67,300.00.
