Waabi is looking for a Research Scientist, World Models to advance the core AI capabilities behind our autonomous driving technology. You will join a team dedicated to developing reliable, scalable, and intelligent systems.
What You'll Do
- Research, design, and implement novel world models for autonomous vehicle systems.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance, generalization, and safety.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers and research teams to integrate models into our broader AI stack.
- Publish findings and contribute to the scientific community through papers and open-source projects.
What We're Looking For
- PhD or equivalent research experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CoRL, CVPR).
- Deep expertise in generative modeling, sequential decision-making, or representation learning.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
- Ability to translate complex research into robust, practical implementations.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from our offices in Toronto, CAN or San Francisco, CA for a portion of your time.
