Applied Intuition is hiring a Research Scientist - Robotics to conduct research for autonomous systems with applications to autonomous driving and general robotics. You will contribute to and learn from best practices in a fast-paced, customer-focused culture.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research on topics including robotic foundation models, vision-language-action models, reinforcement learning, and real-to-sim-to-real paradigms.
- Apply research to areas like dexterous manipulation, grasping, and whole-body control.
- Work closely with other Research Scientists and interns on publications for top-tier conferences.
- Collaborate with Research Engineers and engineering teams to test and deploy algorithms.
What We're Looking For
- MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer vision, robotics, autonomy, or a closely related field.
- A strong research record in AI and robotics with publications in top-tier conferences or journals in computer vision, machine learning, or robotics.
- Passion for robotic generalists, humanoids, and scalable technology in the real world.
- Strong research skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience in at least one of these fields: reinforcement learning, multi-modal foundation models, human and object motion capture, motion retargeting and teleoperation, human and robotic data collection, or robotic hardware.

- Annual salary range of $158,000 - $304,000 USD plus equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units.
