The Condensed Matter Physics (CMP) and Quantum Light and Matter (QLM) research sections within Durham University's Department of Physics are looking for a Research Project Coordinator. You will be instrumental in supporting the daily operations and effective running of their research, providing crucial administrative grant support and coordinating key research activities.
What You'll Do
- Support the daily operations and efficient running of research for the CMP and QLM sections.
- Deliver effective administrative research grant support to staff and stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for respective research grant administrative services.
- Assist with data gathering for funding and project applications.
- Organize associated events and research activities.
- Create and maintain financial and publishing records.
What We're Looking For
- At least five GCSEs at Grade C or level four (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, or a Post-16 qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience working in a busy office environment delivering front-line administrative services to a high standard.
- Experience managing time to meet deadlines and working under pressure without compromising quality.
- Experience providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships internally and externally.
