The School of Biological Sciences within NTU's College of Science is hiring a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow. You will lead independent projects focused on cancer biology and diabetes, integrating mouse models and mechanistic studies to understand disease and develop translational solutions. The role includes mentoring students and contributing to grant applications and scientific publications.
What You'll Do
- Conduct hypothesis-driven experiments independently and analyze data to a high standard.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance research productivity.
- Maintain expertise through familiarity with the scientific literature.
- Deliver regular research updates in internal group meetings.
- Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Support the Principal Investigator in grant writing and manuscript preparation.
- Support the general organization and operations of the laboratory.
What We're Looking For
- A PhD in Biology or a related field.
- Strong expertise in mouse models and genetics (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in Mammalian Cell Biology (culturing, transfection).
- Demonstrated experience in Biochemistry (SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting).
- Demonstrated experience in Immunohistochemistry (sectioning and staining).
- Demonstrated experience in Fluorescence light microscopy (immunofluorescence, confocal).
- Demonstrated experience in Omics assays and bioinformatics analyses.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a team-work attitude.
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative research environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a resourceful, proactive approach.

You will be part of the School of Biological Sciences within the College of Science, reporting directly to the Principal Investigator (PI).
