Paramount is seeking a Football Recruiting Reporter to spearhead our recruiting and transfer portal coverage and become a prominent figure in the college football landscape. You'll join a passionate team committed to unleashing the power of content and creating moments that matter.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the go-to expert on college football recruiting, providing news, in-depth analysis, and insights into top storylines and prospects.
- Break news related to college football recruiting and the transfer portal, delivering timely and accurate content.
- Cover key camps and combines throughout the year to provide intel on top football prospects.
- Work with team sites, social, and multimedia divisions to maximize distribution of news and original content.
- Provide video and podcast appearances to share breaking news and analysis.
- Actively contribute to building and enhancing our brand's reputation across the country.
- Connect with existing and potential readers through message boards and social media.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key individuals at the high school, college, and agency levels.
- Leverage relationships to gain exclusive insights and information.
- Deliver engaging on-camera content, including live shows and radio appearances, to recap the day's biggest news.
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge and passion for college football recruiting and the transfer portal.
- Proven ability to break news and deliver insightful analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and on camera.
- Strong social media presence and proficiency in using platforms for brand promotion.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel during the year to cover specific football recruiting events.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience in on-air appearances, live shows, podcasts, or radio.
- A strong network of contacts within the football community at the high school and college levels.
