Jobgether is hiring a Renewables Project Developer / Energy Storage Development Associate to spearhead site acquisition for utility-scale renewable energy and battery storage projects. You will be responsible for evaluating land opportunities, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving projects from prospecting through to permitting in a fully remote setting.
What You'll Do
- Identify, research, and prospect land opportunities for utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects.
- Negotiate site control agreements and collaborate with landowners, local governments, and other key stakeholders.
- Support initiatives related to site acquisition, project financing, permitting, and environmental compliance.
- Assist in responding to and initiating RFPs (Request for Proposals) for project development opportunities.
- Contribute to both new and ongoing utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects, emphasizing tax abatements and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects progress efficiently from planning to execution.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, battery storage, LNG, or natural gas project development.
- Hands-on experience with real estate transactions, contracts, and land acquisition processes in the renewable or energy storage sector.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes and project development life-cycle.
- Strong knowledge of project siting, permitting, and due diligence for solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
- Experience in site prospecting, land negotiations, and supporting project financing initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, and collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to energy storage or solar + storage projects is highly desirable.
