About the Role

BioPak is looking for a Remote Operations Manager to lead and manage offshore operations for our Australian financial services brokerage. You will be responsible for team leadership, financial oversight, process improvement, and the strategic scaling of our offshore support functions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, manage, and support all offshore teams across functional areas including loan support, client services, settlements, paraplanning, marketing, and administrative support.
  • Act as the primary liaison between headquarters and offshore teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Implement robust performance management systems, including regular reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee and ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of offshore payroll.
  • Manage offshore financial operations, including budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring sufficient funds for continuity.
  • Liaise with local accounting/finance teams and vendors to ensure adherence to local financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize offshore operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Identify and implement best practices in offshore management, leveraging technology and automation where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for offshore expansion and operational scaling.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the Australian mortgage industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management background.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Operations Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability in process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Experience handling HR-related functions, employee concerns, and transactions.
  • Training and recruitment experience (interviewing candidates, onboarding, and team operation process training).
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in offshore support to an Australian brokerage or broker is an advantage.
  • Having a wide range of connections and resources for offshore loan support is also an advantage.
