Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Remote Math Tutor to deliver high-impact virtual math tutoring to middle school students. You will join a mission-driven community focused on equitable education outcomes and will play a key role in supporting student success.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-impact virtual math tutoring sessions to 6th and 7th-grade students, supporting two students simultaneously.
- Prepare and present engaging lessons using a structured curriculum tailored for middle school math.
- Participate in asynchronous training to master high-impact tutoring techniques and effectively use proprietary virtual platforms.
- Maintain consistent tutoring schedules with an approximately 3-hour weekly commitment, including preparation and direct instruction.
- Foster a positive, motivating learning environment adapted to diverse student needs and learning styles.
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to learn and apply evidence-based high-impact tutoring methods.
- Ability to effectively engage and motivate middle school students remotely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patience and adaptability.
- Comfortable using virtual learning platforms and technology tools.
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to support student growth.
- Successful completion of background checks (CORI/SORI) as required.
- No advanced math expertise required; commitment and eagerness to support learners is key.
