IntellaTriage is looking for a Remote Hospice Triage RN to join our team. In this role, you will provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers, managing patient calls, following client-customized protocols, and completing electronic charting from your home office.
What You'll Do
- Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health patients.
- Manage patient calls, delivering compassionate care while adhering to client-customized protocols.
- Access Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for patient charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes of paid shift preparation before taking calls.
- Spend between 30 minutes and 2 hours at the end of each shift finishing remaining charting.
- Handle a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 calls per hour on weekends.
- Communicate with patients empathically while following established protocols.
- Attend in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required by the states where you answer calls.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Experience with end-of-life care is required.
- Must have access to high-speed internet.
- Must be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence.
- Comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls.
- Ability to type efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Available to work every other Saturday & Sunday.
- Available to work some Holidays as required.
- Able to handle stress and multitask when receiving calls.
- Must pass a background check and nurse licensing check.
- Must have a quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant workspace free from noise and distraction.
Nice to Have
- Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care.
- Experience in fast-paced clinical environments like the ED, critical care, or surgical services.
- Proficiency in additional languages.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base pay of $23 per hour once trained to your originally assigned team, with opportunities for increase.
- $1 shift differential for overnights.
- $1 shift differential for weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- Part-time and full-time nurses accumulate PTO based on hours worked per year.
- Part-time and full-time nurses are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
- Full-time nurses may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurances.
- Three weeks of remote paid training.
- Company will cover the cost of non-compact state licensure if necessary for client support.
- Work from home, eliminating daily commuting.
