IntellaTriage is hiring a Remote Hospice Triage RN to provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers. In this role, you will manage patient calls, follow client-customized protocols, and chart in EMRs from your home office, becoming an extension of our clients' care teams.
What You'll Do
- Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health patients via phone.
- Follow client-customized protocols to deliver patient-centered, compassionate care.
- Access Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls.
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of the shift completing remaining charting.
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols.
- Handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, up to 8 per hour on weekends).
- Attend in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Must remain in good standing and ensure home state license remains active.
- Bilingual requirement: ability to speak, write, and read in English and Spanish proficiently.
- Experience with end-of-life care is required.
- Must have high-speed internet.
- Must be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence.
- Must be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls.
- Ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Must be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Must be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday.
- Must be available to work some Holidays as required.
- Must pass background check and nurse licensing check.
Nice to Have
- Hospice, palliative, end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment: ED, surgical services, critical care, etc.
- Additional languages beyond English and Spanish are a bonus.

Benefits & Compensation
- All Remote Hospice Triage RNs, once trained to their originally assigned team, are paid $23 per hour.
- Multiple opportunities to increase the hourly rate.
- $1 shift differential for overnights and a $1 shift differential for weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- Part-time and full-time nurses accumulate PTO based on hours worked per year.
- Part-time and full-time nurses are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
- Full-time nurses may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurances.
- IntellaTriage will cover the cost of non-compact state licensure if necessary for client support.
- Receive three weeks of remote paid training.
- We will provide you with a laptop and headset.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position. You must live in and work from a Compact US state.
