Agilent Technologies is looking for a Remote Support Engineer to join our CrossLab Group Online Technical Support Team. In this role, you will provide expert post-sales technology support and technical services for our analytical instrumentation portfolio, primarily serving our customer base in Brazil.
What You'll Do
- Deliver quality and timely responses to customer requests for technical assistance on Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry and/or Atomic Spectroscopy.
- Provide phone support in problem solving and technical support for customers.
- Provide remote post-sales technology support and technical services to external customers and/or internal field personnel utilizing remote diagnostic capabilities.
- Perform reactive actions for timely and cost-effective problem resolution and proactive preventative actions.
- Leverage post-sales interactions with customers to probe and qualify further revenue opportunities, providing highly qualified leads to sales.
- Travel up to 10% to customer sites performing technical work and attending internal Agilent training classes.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of relevant experience with Agilent analytical instrumentation.
- 6+ years practical experience using and/or supporting GC/GC-MS, Atomic Spectroscopy and related products.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Products.
- Experience with MSD Chemstation, EzChrom, Openlab and Masshunter products required.
- English advanced or intermediate.
- Logical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to make decisions and juggle multiple competing priorities at one time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Bachelors, Masters or other University degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineer, or similar science field highly preferred.
- HPLC and Molecular Spectroscopy experience is a plus.
