WaveStrong, Inc. is hiring a Remote BigID Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the end-to-end deployment, upgrade, and integration of the BigID platform for our enterprise clients. In this hands-on role, you will be directly responsible for implementation, configuration, and ensuring the success of our customers' data governance and privacy initiatives.

What You'll Do

Lead BigID deployments and upgrades across on-prem and cloud environments.
Implement and configure BigID for data discovery, classification, and cataloging across structured and unstructured data sources.
Integrate BigID with databases, data lakes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and SaaS applications.
Configure policies and data classification rules for PII, PHI, PCI, GDPR, and CCPA.
Support data privacy workflows such as DSAR, consent management, and data retention.
Develop and customize BigID scans, connectors, and metadata ingestion processes.
Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize platform performance.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven hands-on experience with BigID and data governance or privacy tools.
Strong knowledge of APIs, Linux systems, scripting (Python/Shell), and major cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience in a Professional Services or consulting role.
Excellent communication and proven client-facing skills.
The ability to lead projects independently from start to finish.
