About the Role

Lead structural engineering design for complex maritime infrastructure projects across Ports, Defence, Transport, and Energy sectors in Australia. Provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with standards, mentor engineers, and drive innovation while promoting safety, sustainability, and constructability through collaborative, multi-disciplinary delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering design of advanced maritime infrastructure projects
  • Provide strategic technical guidance and structural design leadership
  • Oversee structural design processes to ensure engineering excellence
  • Maintain rigorous standards in safety, sustainability, and constructability
  • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Communicate structural engineering principles clearly throughout all design phases
  • Manage the design, analysis, and execution of maritime structural projects
  • Ensure adherence to national and international engineering standards and regulations
  • Deliver innovative, client-focused solutions in alignment with project requirements
  • Support the professional growth of junior engineering staff through mentorship
  • Promote a culture of continuous technical improvement and high performance
  • Advocate for sustainable engineering practices and quality assurance measures
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and external partners on project delivery

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Australia
  • Proven experience in structural engineering leadership within maritime infrastructure
  • Expertise in ports, defence, transport, or energy sectors
  • Strong understanding of safety, sustainability, and constructability principles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers
  • Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
