Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee flood studies, hydraulic design and water resources projects, acting as a senior technical authority.
- Provide expert direction on hydrological and hydraulic modelling, ensuring best-practice, compliant outcomes.
- Mentor and develop engineers and modellers within a consultancy environment.
- Partner with State, Local Government and Mining clients, delivering trusted advice and high-quality outcomes.
- Prepare and review high-quality technical and non-technical reports.
- Support project delivery, resourcing, commercial performance and business development activities.
Requirements
- 12+ years’ experience in a consultancy environment
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects
- Experience in flood studies, hydraulic design, and water management
- Strong technical leadership skills
- Ability to mentor engineers and modellers
- Experience working with State, Local Government and Mining clients
- Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modelling

Additional Information
- Role is based in Townsville but supports projects across Northern Queensland, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Position is at Principal or Associate Director level.
- Focus on technical leadership and quality assurance in water resources engineering.
- Expected to guide modelling approaches and oversee project outcomes.
