What You'll Do
Oversee reliability engineering efforts across the Memphis manufacturing facility, focusing on maximizing equipment uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. Develop and execute strategies that improve asset health and extend equipment lifecycle through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Lead root cause investigations for recurring mechanical failures using analytical methods such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Root Cause Failure Analysis. Plan and manage plant shutdowns, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and effective execution.
Establish equipment criticality rankings and oversee spare parts inventory strategy, including storeroom organization and budget accountability. Collaborate with engineering and operations to support capital projects and long-term reliability planning.
Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities align with food safety standards, including HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, and pest control protocols, maintaining compliance across all systems and processes.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience with at least 10 years in manufacturing or maintenance roles
- Proven background in reliability engineering, including FMEA, RCFA, and asset lifecycle management
- Experience leading maintenance planning, project execution, or team supervision
- Strong data analysis skills to assess risk, track performance, and guide decision-making
- Effective communication abilities to influence teams across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to learn plant-specific systems
- Onsite presence required with direct engagement on the production floor
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in food manufacturing within a regulated environment
- Experience with high-speed rotating or continuous process machinery
- Six Sigma certification, Lean training, or continuous improvement experience
