AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit at our Winter Garden location. In this night shift role, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care plan development, and collaboration with medical teams, extending our mission of whole-person care.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, and outcomes.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions, making necessary adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families.
- Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team.
- Engage in continuous professional development and performance improvement activities.
- Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions.
