About the Role
The nurse will deliver specialized dermatological care, assist in procedures, educate patients on skin health, and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of licensed dermatologists.
Responsibilities
- Administer treatments for skin conditions as directed by physicians
- Conduct patient intake and document medical histories accurately
- Assist during dermatological exams and minor surgical procedures
- Educate patients on skincare regimens and treatment plans
- Monitor patient responses to therapies and report changes
- Maintain sterile environments and prepare examination rooms
- Perform wound care and dressing changes as needed
- Provide pre- and post-procedure guidance to patients
- Support biopsy and lesion removal processes
- Manage inventory of clinical supplies and medications
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Operate medical equipment used in dermatology treatments
- Communicate patient concerns to supervising clinicians
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Respond to patient inquiries about medications and side effects
- Assist in managing acute skin reactions and emergencies
- Document care activities in electronic health records
- Promote clinic policies and patient safety guidelines
