Lead the growth of a premier retirement franchise across Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California by shaping and executing a strategic vision for mid-to-large market corporate retirement plans with $50M+ in assets. This role is central to expanding market presence through consultative engagement, deep industry expertise, and disciplined sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive a comprehensive sales strategy focused on new business acquisition, advisor segmentation, and long-term franchise development across the Pacific region.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with top-tier retirement plan advisors, plan sponsors, trustees, and investment committees through consistent, high-value engagement—both in person and virtually.
- Deliver tailored retirement solutions by analyzing advisor business models, client needs, and competitive dynamics, ensuring alignment with ERISA standards and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Lead end-to-end RFP processes, including opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, win strategy formulation, and executive-level presentations that clearly communicate differentiated value.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of defined contribution, defined benefit, and non-qualified plan structures, investment frameworks, and pricing models.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including sales, operations, marketing, and implementation—to ensure seamless client onboarding and sustained service excellence.
- Leverage Salesforce to manage pipeline integrity, track advisor insights, and ensure follow-through across all stages of the sales cycle.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, industry trends, and competitor strategies to proactively identify and act on emerging opportunities.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have over a decade of experience in retirement plans or financial services, with a proven track record in external sales, relationship management, or ERISA consulting. Active Life Insurance and Series 6 (or equivalent) licenses are required. Up to 80% travel is expected.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate executive-level presentation skills, success in multi-stakeholder sales environments, strong analytical capabilities, and a history of building repeat advisor relationships through trust and performance.
