About the Role
The role is responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental performance across regional operations by implementing programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies across regional sites
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance
- Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Deliver HSE training programs tailored to operational needs
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational alignment
- Work with site teams to improve safety behaviors and practices
- Track and report on HSE performance metrics to management
- Assist in the development and updating of safety procedures
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in environmental and safety performance
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response planning
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE into daily operations
- Lead or support sustainability initiatives related to environmental impact
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing processes
- Support operational teams during safety reviews and change management
- Maintain up-to-date HSE documentation and records
- Drive engagement in safety programs through communication and awareness campaigns
- Evaluate contractor safety performance and compliance
- Assist in the rollout of global HSE standards at local levels
- Provide expert guidance during regulatory inspections or third-party audits
- Identify opportunities for reducing workplace incidents and environmental risks
- Support leadership in setting regional HSE goals and action plans
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Promote safe work practices through observation and feedback
- Contribute to the development of HSE strategies aligned with business objectives
