AECOM is seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead its Project Management consultancy team serving the North of England. This role involves leading a team of Project Managers across various grades, managing performance and career development, while also driving business growth in both public and private sectors. The individual will oversee technical delivery, client relationships, and high-profile project execution.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership within the project management business practice
- Undertake Line Management and supervisory responsibilities, where you will support, motivate, and mentor members of your team
- Drive actions to retain and hire new team members
- Manage project finances, resourcing, audits, and reviews, to a portfolio of projects being led within the cost centre
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training
- Support team members through Professional Chartership
- Lead client account relationships and frameworks
- Lead commissions (including cross discipline and multi-dis services) taking responsibility for their successful delivery
- Progress business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling other services
- Lead bid and fee proposals including through internal governance processes
- Actively lead a team of Project Managers across a range of grades (including Project Directors and Associates) managing performance, career development, and recruitment
- Be market facing, including driving business development and growth with new and existing clients in both the Public sector and Private clients and developers across the commercial sector
- Be responsible for the technical delivery of services by the team including managing client relationships and being the point of escalation where necessary
- Successfully manage and deliver complex, high profile projects including being the day-to-day point of contact responsibility where appropriate
