J.S. Held LLC is hiring a Regional Director of Meteorology to provide leadership for our operations in the Northeast United States. This is a strategic role for an experienced meteorologist and organization leader with entrepreneurial drive, focusing on business-building and team leadership beyond traditional meteorological analysis.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow business initiatives.
- Lead team members.
- Produce and maintain accurate budgets.
- Communicate confidently and effectively in critical situations.
- Frequently interact and collaborate with experts in other professions.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive operational and demonstrable experience with a wide range of weather conditions including tropical cyclones, floods, storm surge, hail, thunderstorms, downbursts, squall lines, blizzards, snow, ice, tornadoes, and extreme temperatures.
- Deep understanding of North America and global weather patterns.
- Working familiarity with global geography, customs, and culture.
- Proven track record of performing high-quality work with little supervision.
- Proven track record of effectively launching and growing business initiatives.
- Must be a team leader.
- Must reside in the United States.
