About the Role
This position is responsible for identifying and converting new sales opportunities within a designated region by engaging public sector clients, primarily law enforcement agencies, to implement a technology platform that enhances community safety.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in assigned region
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with law enforcement and local government officials
- Deliver product demonstrations tailored to public safety needs
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline
- Negotiate and close contracts with municipal and county agencies
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to address client requirements
- Track all sales activities using CRM software
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional public safety challenges
- Present at local government meetings and public safety forums
- Coordinate site assessments for technology deployment
- Prepare customized proposals and pricing models
- Ensure post-sale handoff to implementation teams
- Follow up on client feedback and expansion opportunities
- Adhere to compliance standards in public sector sales
- Report weekly on sales metrics and forecast accuracy
- Attend regional industry events and tradeshows
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in law enforcement
- Respond to public procurement requests
- Stay informed about competitor offerings
- Support marketing outreach tailored to regional needs
- Maintain professional conduct in all government interactions
- Drive adoption of technology through data-driven presentations
- Manage multiple concurrent sales cycles
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
