About the Role
The role involves full-cycle recruitment support focused on attracting and placing qualified truck drivers. The specialist will work closely with internal teams to fulfill staffing demands efficiently and maintain a positive candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential truck driver candidates through various channels
- Conduct initial screenings to assess qualifications and experience
- Manage communication with applicants throughout the hiring process
- Coordinate interviews and scheduling with hiring managers
- Maintain accurate records of candidate progress in the applicant tracking system
- Follow up with candidates to ensure timely progression
- Provide updates to drivers on application status and next steps
- Collaborate with operations staff to understand staffing needs
- Attend job fairs and industry events to promote employment opportunities
- Build relationships with driving schools and referral sources
- Develop sourcing strategies tailored to driver recruitment
- Ensure compliance with hiring regulations and company policies
- Support onboarding for newly hired drivers
- Track key recruitment metrics and report on performance
- Respond to candidate inquiries promptly and professionally
Nice to Have
- Prior experience recruiting commercial drivers
- Understanding of CDL classification and endorsements
- Experience working with diverse candidate pools
- Exposure to workforce management software
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish
