RemoteVA PH is looking for a Real Estate Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations and ensure accuracy across all property management activities. You will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records and supporting the efficiency of our real estate portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Utilize Appfolio for rent collection, owner distributions, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and manage general ledger entries.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, assisting in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Maintain tenant and owner account records, process lease agreements, and track rental income.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, assist with filings, and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Process vendor payments, manage payroll transactions, and ensure timely disbursements.
- Conduct periodic financial audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide recommendations for financial improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Extensive experience with Appfolio and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with other accounting tools like Yardi, Buildium, and Xero.
- Experience working with multi-family properties or commercial real estate.
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting for property management.
