Lendable is hiring a React Native Engineer

Lendable is looking for a React Native Engineer to build new product experiences in our established Zable App, used by over 500,000 customers on iOS and Android. You'll join a cross-functional team with big plans for the next year, including launching new products and reaching a new audience, while improving performance, reducing tech debt, and enhancing scalability.

What You'll Do

• Build new product experiences in the Zable App.
• Work on feature development, performance improvement, tech debt reduction, and scalability.
• Contribute to wider engineering and business initiatives that help scale UK and US based products.

What We're Looking For

• Solid understanding of modern Javascript with Typescript.
• Commercial experience with cross-platform mobile development using React Native.
• Good understanding of the different needs of mobile users across a variety of platforms and devices.
• Experienced with current automated testing approaches, and take a pragmatic approach to implementing and improving the various phases of the testing pyramid.
• Have a product mindset and are comfortable working with product owners to break down business requirements into deliverable tasks and estimate the complexity of their implementation.

Nice to Have

• Used GraphQL in a production environment.
• Experience of mobile performance best practices and debugging.
• Used staged rollouts and multivariate testing approaches to release new features and test hypotheses.
• Understand the importance of catering to users with accessibility needs, and are familiar with the approaches and tooling required to ensure accessibility guidelines and best practices are adhered to.
• Experience of UI or UX design and you feel at ease discussing approaches with product designers.
• Built, or worked on, products that have scaled from zero users to tens or hundreds of thousands (or more), and can apply what you learnt in new contexts.
