Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Radiology Technologist I Orthopedics to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. You will competently execute a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.

What You'll Do

Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and resolving quality issues by repositioning patients and repeating procedures as necessary.
Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered, monitoring patient condition and responding to changes.
Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
Implement safety standards, perform quality control on equipment, and troubleshoot/report malfunctions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
