Salud Family Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join our integrated healthcare team. In this role, you'll operate radiographic equipment to produce optimal high-quality images for diagnostic studies, supporting medical providers in diagnosing and treating patients. You'll approach your work in a team-based care fashion that puts patients and their families first.
What You'll Do
- Produce diagnostic images using medical radiographic equipment to aid in proper diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain professional scope by not disclosing diagnostic information to patients, referring them back to their medical provider.
- Explain procedures to patients, position them properly, and use lead shields to minimize radiation exposure.
- Work collaboratively with Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and other staff to ensure integrated patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring vulnerable populations are fully informed and comfortable during their visit.
- Follow procedures for the electronic health records system and assist patients with required forms.
- Log all x-rays performed on the same day as the order.
- Maintain supply requisition forms and order supplies per clinic policy.
- Keep accurate records of x-ray discrepancies and report to the supervisor or quality team.
- Keep all x-ray equipment clean and report any problems or failures; maintain equipment preventative maintenance forms.
- Enter CPT codes for procedures per provider orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiological Technology.
- ARRT registration.
- BLS certification required, within the department's established time frame.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment is highly desirable.
Team & Environment
You will work under the direct supervision of the Center Operations Director or Associate Center Director and work closely with the Medical Radiology Safety Officer.
