Corning, a world leader in materials science innovation, is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive the understanding and continuous improvement of our overall Quality Management System and Product Quality Architecture. This role is central to assuring compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems for processing materials into finished products.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are implemented.
- Devise and implement methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision of products and production equipment.
- Design and analyze inspection processes and equipment, conduct quality assurance tests, and perform statistical analysis.
- Audit quality systems to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards and that documentation is compliant.
- May be certified in lean and six-sigma methodologies and assist with the Performance Excellence project portfolio.
- Coach and advise teams on project selection, implementation, and the use of Quality tools and methods.
- Apply scientific and technological principles to uphold product integrity from an engineering standpoint.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. or equivalent technical degree.
