The Timken Company, a leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion products, is looking for a Quality Control professional to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for performing critical quality control functions, auditing products for conformance, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Use gauges and masters to test equipment according to written procedures.
- Visually inspect products for defects and conformance.
- Approve setup pieces for production of bearing components for assigned machine operations.
- Re-inspect finished product for conformance to visual and dimensional specifications.
- Verify correctness of cone and roller sizes prior to assembly by comparing tags.
- Perform required recordkeeping such as filling out various forms and inspection reports.
- Log scrap and repair entries in the shop floor system.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Quality Control or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with gauges and masters.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria, and engineered drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

- Compensation: Starting pay $20.00/hr, Top pay $25.25/hr.

This is an onsite position located at our facility in Iron Station, NC.
