CRH is looking for a Quality Control Intern for a paid, hands-on learning experience at our Eugene, Oregon location. You’ll work under the close direction of experienced supervisors in our quarries, testing aggregate and asphalt building materials to ensure they meet our high-quality standards and learn about our operations.
What You'll Do
- Learn Quality Control methods and reporting procedures.
- Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
- Learn paving process and density control.
- Work to understand aggregate processing and quality conformance.
- Assist with testing materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
- Identify and become familiar with various mix specifications requirements.
- Communicate with other technicians regarding mix specifications and test results.
- Report and communicate test results ethically, adhering to the company's Ethics Policy.
- Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Must be available to work approximately 40 hours per week.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical skills, including basic algebra.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
- Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Must pass post offer pre-employment controlled substance testing & physical exam.
- Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
