Zact is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to ensure the quality and reliability of its fintech product, which simplifies expense and payment management for organizations. The QAE will work remotely with a distributed team across the Americas, collaborating with support, product leads, and clients to validate features, resolve issues, and improve testing processes.
What You'll Do
- Test and validate features of our existing product to ensure high-quality delivery
- Analyze user stories and requirements to create clear, actionable test cases
- Execute test plans across functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure resolution
- Communicate directly with support, product lead, and clients to understand reported issues and provide timely updates
- Provide release confidence and validation reports to product leads
- Collaborate with remote team members across multiple time zones
- Identify tests and workflows that would benefit from automation and provide input to the automation team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and best practices
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of proven experience in software testing, QA, or a related role
- Strong experience with Postman, Jira, AIO, or equivalent test management tools
- Ability to create effective test cases from user stories and requirements
- Ability to identify tests that would benefit from automation
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently and take ownership of product quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed team environment
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
- Located in North, Central, or South America
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of how to trigger automated tests via CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in SaaS, B2B, or customer-facing products
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or scripting
- Understanding of release management and deployment processes
