Credit Genie was looking for a Qualitative UX Researcher

Credit Genie is looking for a Qualitative UX Researcher to join our team. This entry-level role focuses on direct customer interaction and developing foundational research skills. You will gather vital customer insights and learn formal methodologies from experienced team members.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct phone interviews and conversations with customers to gather feedback and understand their product experiences.
  • Assist in organizing and supporting user sessions, focus groups, and usability tests under senior guidance.
  • Build rapport with diverse customer groups to encourage honest, detailed feedback.
  • Learn to document customer interactions and identify patterns in feedback.
  • Shadow experienced researchers to develop qualitative research skills and methodologies.
  • Work closely with Product and Analytics teams to understand how customer insights inform product decisions.
  • Help prepare research summaries and contribute to presentations of findings.
  • Develop skills in translating customer feedback into actionable insights with guidance.
  • Assist in organizing research data and maintaining research documentation.
  • Participate in team discussions about user needs and research findings.

What We're Looking For

  • 0-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as customer service or sales, requiring strong communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage in meaningful conversations.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to ask thoughtful follow-up questions.
  • Strong documentation and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Genuine curiosity about customer behavior and motivations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfort with basic technology tools and willingness to learn research-specific applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new skills and methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
