Jobgether is hiring a QA/Release Manager to lead and refine the software release lifecycle in our fast-growing enterprise tech environment. You will oversee the end-to-end process of testing, validation, and delivery for on-premises software solutions, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and DevOps to ensure releases meet high standards of quality, reliability, and stability.
What You'll Do
- Lead and implement a comprehensive QA strategy to ensure consistent testing practices.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test plans tailored for on-prem environments.
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to guarantee release quality.
- Manage the entire release lifecycle from build creation to packaging, documentation, and final delivery.
- Ensure version control, upgrade paths, and rollback procedures are validated and reproducible.
- Define and monitor QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release validation rates.
- Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing workflows.
- Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure release readiness, communication, and sign-off.
- Continuously enhance processes and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Conduct retrospective reviews to identify improvement areas in the release and QA cycle.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA, Release Management, or a related software delivery role.
- Proven background in on-premises or enterprise software release processes.
- Strong understanding of software packaging and distribution (e.g., Docker, Helm, Debian/RPM, or VM images).
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI) and artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus).
- Solid Linux and scripting skills, with attention to reproducibility and reliability.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in cross-team coordination, documentation, and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems.
Nice to Have
- Bonus points for experience with on-prem deployments, Kubernetes, Docker, or security testing.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, PMP, or similar credentials are a plus.
