Power International Holding (PIH), a diversified business conglomerate, seeks a meticulous QA/QC Engineer. In this role, you will ensure all construction work is delivered with quality that meets or exceeds client expectations by implementing international quality standards and project specifications. You will assist in developing the Project Quality Management System and play a key role in maintaining rigorous procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Project QA/QC Manager or Sr. QA/QC Engineer in implementing the quality management system on-site as per the approved Project Quality Plan and IMS Procedures.
- Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIR) for all construction activities to the consultant.
- Check all incoming materials against project specifications and approved material submittals.
- Monitor the status of WIRs and test reports, updating the Quality Manager and site team.
- Establish and monitor control of QA/QC Plans, Method Statements, and Test Plans before and during project execution.
- Ensure the document control procedure is implemented and that all approved consultant documents are properly distributed.
- Verify that work inspections are carried out as planned and advise the construction team on corrective actions.
- Inspect all materials internally before consultant inspection, raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for substandard materials.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all work and material inspections, providing data for weekly progress meetings.
- Record all test results and ensure availability of mill certificates for steel, along with logs for all tests per the approved matrix.
- Check that daily concrete pour cards are maintained and provided to relevant departments.
- Support HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness, and contribute to incident reporting in alignment with company policies.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of total working experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant QA/QC role.
- Professional registration/certification: MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA), Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent), or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE).
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and quality systems such as ISO 9001, QCS, SMACNA, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
- ERP knowledge, with SAP functional skills being a strong preference.

- 2 years of experience working in the GCC region.
