The Senior QA Engineer will design test plans, develop and execute test cases, and implement automated testing using Playwright with TypeScript. This role operates within an Agile/Scrum framework and demands strong expertise in quality assurance practices and enterprise software validation.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation of test plans and develop, run, and maintain test cases for functional and performance testing, using Playwright with TypeScript for automation.
- Collaborate within a scrum team by participating in planning, estimation, and validation of user stories and their acceptance criteria.
- Build in-depth knowledge of the assigned product domains and functionalities.
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Communicate testing progress, metrics, and identified issues regularly and clearly.
- Adhere to and follow internal quality practices known as Signals.
- Help produce clear, well-organized test summary reports.
- Gain expert-level understanding of product behavior, including strengths and limitations, and represent customer needs to improve usability.
- Develop and run integrated automated test cases using Playwright, coordinating with manual testers and existing manual test procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related science field.
- At least 7 years of experience testing high-volume, scalable enterprise software systems.
- Proven experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Solid understanding of QA life cycles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Extensive experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
- Minimum of 5 years working with automation tools such as Playwright, TestComplete, or Selenium.
- Hands-on experience with databases and data platforms.
- Development experience in Java, .NET, or TypeScript is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing large-scale systems is advantageous.
- Background in building API test frameworks.
- Familiarity with both Playwright and Selenium for UI test automation.
- Strong track record of converting manual test cases into automated ones.
- Experience in creating test documentation, analyzing defects, and generating reports.
